United Music Spotlight

Editorial policy

United Music Spotlight aims to make music easier to explore without pretending that every listening question has one final answer. We explain our reasoning, keep claims proportionate and correct clear mistakes.

Accuracy and context

We check names, terminology and factual statements before publication, using sources suited to the claim. Interpretations of a song or performance are presented as interpretations, not settled facts. When a detail is uncertain or disputed, we say so rather than dressing a guess as certainty.

Independence

Editorial decisions and conclusions belong to the publication, not to a contributor, partner or advertiser. A relationship or material interest that could affect a piece will be disclosed where relevant, and commercial arrangements do not buy a favourable editorial view.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error, use the Contact page and identify the article and detail in question. We review correction requests and amend confirmed errors, making a clear note when a change materially affects the meaning of a published piece.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or partner-supported material is clearly labelled where it appears and kept distinct from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when that is the case, the image is identified as AI-generated and is not presented as documentary evidence.
